Mackinnon Lawrence
Mackinnon Lawrence is a clean energy analyst and advisor with broad experience working at the intersection of sustainable development, law, and policy. He currently serves as Of Counsel with Cleantech Law Partners, a boutique renewable energy law firm, and covers clean transportation and smart energy markets as an industry analyst with Pike Research. He is a frequent contributor to leading industry publications and has published industry reports focusing on biofuels and geothermal markets. His international experience includes coaching baseball in China, teaching English in Latin America, and evaluating sustainable development policies throughout South Africa for a governmental agency.
Mackinnon holds a J.D. from Washington College of Law at American University, an M.A. in Global Environmental Policy from American University’s School of International Service, and a B.A. in History from Amherst College. He is a member of the California Bar.

Kevin Christopher
Kevin Christopher is a recent graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law. While at USF, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Charles R. Breyer, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of California, HIP Investor, and the Green Vision Institute. His research areas have included corporate social responsibility, scientific integrity of the IPCC, and ARRA solar financing. Kevin is currently a summer associate with Keyes & Fox, LLP.

Anaïs Mirval
Anaïs has deep experience in energy issues and has held various positions spanning the sciences to business. She has worked as an R&D engineer developing second generation biofuels as well as a strategy analyst focusing on renewable and nuclear energy industries. Anaïs also has a strong interest in geopolitics and risk management, both subjects with major implications in the biofuels sector. She recently published a book focusing on the geopolitical dimensions of China’s management of rivers in connection with its expansion strategy.
Anaïs holds a M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Biotechnologies from INSA Lyon and a Specialized Master in International business and Risk management from HEC Paris.
