Chile: Government Throws US$9 Million at Second-Generation Biofuels
The Santiago Times reports that the Chilean government has joined a consortium of three companies to invest US$30 million in second-generation biofuels. The Chilean government has contributed US$9 million as part of an effort become more energy independent and insulate the country from international energy prices.
